If you are a Kiwi startup or early stage AgTech business, you still have time to register an Expression of Interest to exhibit at Farming2020. The signature AgTech event for Techweek 2017, Farming2020 is being hosted at the LIC Innovation Farm, outside Hamilton, from Tuesday 9 – Thursday 11 May.
The final closing date for Exhibitor Expression of Interest applications is 5.00pm on Friday 21 April. (That’s this coming Friday!) You can apply right now via the online Application Form at http://farming2020.nz/exhibitors-sponsors/
You can also view the list of the 20+ exhibitors already registered at http://farming2020.nz/farming2020-exhibitors/
To support Wharf42’s mission to help build and internationalise New Zealand’s emerging AgTech sector, there is no cost for startup or early stage Kiwi AgTech businesses to exhibit at Farming2020. (You will of course be responsible for your own travel and accommodation costs, if these apply). The full list of benefits of exhibiting at Farming2020 can be found on the online Application Form page.
Whilst some of the Wharf42 team have been focusing on the Farming2020 Exhibition site, I have been working on the Speaker program that will accompany it at the on-site Hooper Innovation Centre.
Over the three days of Farming2020, every exhibitor will have the chance to deliver a 15-minute presentation in the Centre. Each presentation will be videoed and streamed live across the Internet. It will provide exhibitors with a great platform to promote their vision and product / service to a global audience.
The Hooper Centre will also host two specific presentation streams:
On Wednesday 10th May, an ‘NZ Inc.’ stream will feature high profile Kiwi AgTech and Agribusiness thought leaders talking about the future of AgTech in New Zealand. The question we will be asking is; ‘how do they plan to invest in that future’? We will be publishing details of the speakers and timetable for the NZ Inc. stream next Monday.
On Thursday 11th May, we will be hosting a ‘Connecting NZ AgTech to the US’ stream. This session is leveraging off some the networks and connections that the Kiwi AgTech delegation made during this month’s Silicon Valley AgTech Immersion Program & Conference.
Check out the farming2020.co.nz website for more details when they are published next Monday. We will be using Eventbrite to manage numbers. Tickets to the two streams will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Over the next 3 weeks, the team will be putting the finishing touches to an event which we believe will deliver Techweek 2017’s most important goal;
Techweek is here to amplify NZ ideas that are good for the world, and part of that is helping bright New Zealand minds to scale the impact of their ideas globally.
Farming2020 has been designed support this mission. Your presence and active participation with the Farming2020 Program will help deliver that promise for the country’s emerging AgTech ecosystem. We look forward to seeing you next month!
